In 2012 congress and exhibition activities of JSC IDGC of the North-West continued to develop actively within the framework of a unified plan of JSC IDGC Holding, gaining new contents and filling. Top-managers and leading specialists of the Company constantly participate in major economic and energy industrial forums and leading industrial exhibitions and conferences. In 2012 representatives of JSC IDGC of the North-West visited over 15 exhibitions and conferences, in which over 200 employees took part. Among them are: 16th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Investment Forum Troika-Dialogue "Forum Russia 2012", etc. Within the framework of International Conference of the Adam Smith Institute (London) experience and practice of JSC IDGC of the North-West in the transition to new standards of application of the IFRS in Russia were presented. For the first time Chief Accountant of the Company Tatyana Maximova acted as a speaker in one of the most reputable international investment conferences.

International Forum UPGrid "Electric Grid Complex. Innovations. Development" today is one of the leading energy industrial conferences in Russia. It is held under the patronage of JSC FGC UPS. In 2012 JSC IDGC of the North-West for the first time took an active part in a prestigious forum having presented a report on a new scientific idea which is embodied in the high-voltage disconnecting switch. Its realization will allow to increase the safety of personnel, to extend useful life of equipment and to reduce operating expenses. The innovation received the first patent for useful model.

Managers and technical specialists of the Company annually attend the International Specialized Exhibition "Energy Sector and Electric Engineering" (Saint Petersburg) and the International Specialized Exhibition "BiOT" (Moscow). A new direction which is actively developed by JSC IDGC of the North-West in terms of congress and exhibition activities is the holding of the Company's own seminars and forums with attraction of a wide circle of specialists, partners, and equipment suppliers. JSC IDGC of the North-West implements its own exclusive project "School of REG Managers" which is, in addition to educational aspect, includes activities relating to the field of congress and exhibition activities — holding open panel discussions, attending production sites of equipment manufacturers, conducting joint conferences with representatives of related industries. The project is developing in new directions, such as School of Masters of JSC IDGC of the North-West. New forms of work with personnel using elements of congress and exhibition activities have gained wide support in the professional environment and are characterized by a high effectiveness.
